WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TRAUMATIC INJURY & OCCUPATIONAL DISEASE?

Video Transcription:

A traumatic incident is usually one incident where the employee was traumatized. Occupational diseases are multiple traumatic injuries, cumulative traumas such as hearing loss. The employee is repeatedly exposed to loud noise over a course of months or years. The same thing with asbestos, the employee is repeatedly exposed to asbestos or other toxins. Occupational diseases have a longer statute of limitations than traumatic injuries do.
