Under the Longshore Act, someone's deemed temporarily totally disabled if their choice position takes them out of work entirely, or they're choice position places restrictions on them, which prevent them from returning to work or for which the employer cannot accommodate. When temporary totally disabled, injured workers entitled to their full compensation rate, which is 66.6% of their average weekly wage.
