WHAT IF AN EMPLOYER FAILS TO PAY ME AS REQUIRED BY THE DEFENSE BASE ACT?

Video Transcription:

Under Florida worker's compensation, if you quit your job while receiving worker's compensation benefits and it's unrelated to the injury itself you could be deemed to have voluntarily limited your income. In that event your benefits could potentially be terminated. At the same time, if you retire while receiving worker's compensation benefits, the same voluntary limitation argument applies. In the event that you are required to quit your job or required to retire, and it's a result of the injury itself, make sure that you cite the work-related injury as your reason for having to quit or retire.
