CAN I RECEIVE SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS AND WORKERS’ COMPENSATION BENEFIT AT THE SAME TIME?

Video Transcription:

You are able to receive Social Security disability benefits and worker's compensation benefits at the same time, however, Social Security is entitled to an offset and they will not pay the entire amount that they typically will had you not had a worker's compensation case. Under worker's compensation you're typically paid 66.6% of your average weekly wage or the wages you were earning on a per week basis prior to the injury. Under Social Security Disability you are entitled to 80%, so if you're eligible for both, you'll receive 66.6% from worker's compensation and the remaining amount up to 80% from Social Security disability.
